Recognized as a Differentiated Innovative Product, Selected for '3 Consecutive Years'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] KT&G's 'Lil' was selected as an excellent brand in the heated tobacco cigarette category at the '2021 Korea Brand Hall of Fame' on the 28th.
The 'Korea Brand Hall of Fame,' hosted by the Korea Institute for Industrial Policy Studies, is an event that awards brands with the highest consumer satisfaction over the past year. With this year's award, KT&G's 'Lil' has been recognized as an excellent brand for three consecutive years.
Since its debut in 2017, 'Lil' has received favorable reviews from consumers for its convenience and portability, surpassing 1 million units sold within one year of its launch. Since then, KT&G has expanded its brand portfolio by releasing follow-up products such as 'Lil Plus,' 'Lil Mini,' and 'Lil Hybrid.'
In particular, the 'Lil Hybrid,' released in 2018, applies a differentiated platform by combining a dedicated cartridge with the device, earning recognition from consumers as an innovative product. The follow-up product, 'Lil Hybrid 2.0,' was the first heated tobacco cigarette to eliminate all buttons and features a 'Smart On' function that automatically preheats when a stick is inserted.
