Woowa Brothers, Seoul City, and Others Sign MOU to Support Workplace Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok, is taking the industry-first step to support sexual harassment prevention education for food service businesses with fewer than 30 employees.
On the 27th, Woowa Brothers held an online signing ceremony with the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Women and Family Policy Office and the With You Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Prevention Center to sign a "Business Agreement for Creating Gender-Equal Workplaces in Food Service Businesses."
Through this agreement, the three organizations will promote sexual harassment prevention education for food service businesses with fewer than 30 employees in Seoul. While smaller businesses have higher rates of sexual harassment incidents, they face difficulties in systematically establishing prevention and victim support systems.
The With You Center was established in June last year to provide sexual harassment and sexual violence prevention education and legal support specifically for small business owners with fewer than 30 employees. To enhance the effectiveness of legally mandated workplace sexual harassment prevention education, the center offers various training programs targeting business owners.
Under this agreement, Woowa Brothers plans to co-produce sexual harassment prevention education and campaign content with the With You Center. Promotion of the produced content will be handled by Baemin Academy, Woowa Brothers' free online and offline education channel.
Previously, in November last year, Woowa Brothers distributed the "Prevention and Response Guide for a Workplace Free of Sexual Harassment," produced by the With You Center, to small food service business owners through Baemin Academy.
