Prosecutors Indict Former Financial Supervisory Service Director for Receiving Bribes from Optimus Without Detention
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The prosecution investigating the Optimus Asset Management (Optimus) fund fraud case has indicted former Financial Supervisory Service Director Yoon on charges including bribery.
The Economic Crime Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Joo Min-chul) filed a non-custodial indictment against former Director Yoon on the 27th, applying charges under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes, including bribery.
Former Director Yoon is accused of receiving a total of 47 million KRW in several installments and demanding 45 million KRW as compensation for introducing and mediating financial industry figures related to fund investment attraction, auction procedure delays, and various loans to Kim Jae-hyun, CEO of Optimus, and others from 2018 to 2019.
