Volunteer Group of Baek-in Donates COVID-19 Prevention Supplies to Suncheon City
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City announced on the 27th that it received COVID-19 quarantine supplies worth 7 million KRW from the Baegin Volunteer Group (representative Lee Jeong-rae) the day before.
The donated items included one non-contact thermal imaging camera and two space sterilizers that emit harmless wavelengths to the human body, which have the effect of eliminating the COVID-19 virus. Suncheon City plans to use them at the forefront of COVID-19 quarantine, such as at the public health center's screening clinic.
The Baegin Volunteer Group was established in 2019 and currently has about 60 active members. They have been consistently engaged in volunteer activities such as repairing rural village houses, providing free meals, and environmental cleanup.
Representative Lee Jeong-rae stated, "With the hope for an early end to COVID-19, we gathered the sincerity of our members to contribute even a little help."
