At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that morning, Lee said, "I deeply apologize once again to the victim and her family."
He added, "We will do our best to help the victim restore her daily life without secondary harm," and "We will also respect the Human Rights Commission's recommendations for institutional improvements sent to the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Minister of Gender Equality and Family. We will cooperate with related agencies to prepare measures to prevent recurrence."
He continued, "We will boldly reform outdated systems and practices that adjust gender gaps. We will dismantle the structures in our society that oppress women," emphasizing, "We will strengthen punishment by amending laws related to power-based sexual crimes so that sexual crimes committed through workplace authority can never take root again."
