Gimhae City Receives 'Grade 2' in Public Institution Anti-Corruption Policy Evaluation
Highest Score and Top Grade Achieved in Evaluation History
Excellent Results in Various Related Assessments
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Cleanliness UP Gyeongnam Gimhae City was selected as a Grade 2 institution in the public institution corruption prevention policy evaluation.
This is a two-grade improvement from last year and the highest grade since 2012, when local governments with a population of over 500,000 were included in the corruption prevention policy evaluation target.
The city promoted ‘Zero Corruption in Licensing and Accounting Work’ through sector-specific system improvements such as the prior consultation system for civil complaints, expansion of non-face-to-face licensing work processing, budget return, and establishment of a cash virtual account system outside of revenue and expenditure.
In addition, it received a good evaluation by implementing new policies such as establishing a self-learning system for integrity and promoting a voluntary integrity wave movement.
Mayor Heo Seong-gon said, “Despite difficult circumstances, all employees worked hard last year to improve integrity and prevent corruption, achieving remarkable results,” and added, “We will continue to actively discover and implement proactive anti-corruption and integrity policies to become a Grade 1 integrity Gimhae trusted by citizens.”
