Police Urgently Arrest 40s Son on Suspicion of Killing His 70s Father
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] A man in his 40s was arrested by the police on suspicion of killing his father in his 70s.
The Nowon Police Station in Seoul announced on the 26th that they had urgently detained Kim (47) on charges of parricide and are currently investigating him.
According to the police, at around 4:47 a.m. that day, a report was received from a man shouting that "someone died next door" in a residential area of Nowon-gu.
Police who arrived at the scene found Kim's father (79) collapsed and dead in the bathroom inside the house, and arrested Kim nearby, who was standing covered in blood all over his body.

During the police investigation, Kim reportedly denied the charges, claiming that an unidentified outsider was responsible. However, the police, based on CCTV footage showing no signs of external intrusion, are conducting a thorough investigation into the exact circumstances of the incident with Kim and are also considering applying for an arrest warrant.
