[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 26th that it will temporarily suspend operations at the homeless facilities 'Seoul Station Hope Support Center' and 'Seoul Station Emergency Shelter' located at Seoul Station Plaza due to confirmed cases of COVID-19.
According to the city, the confirmed cases identified so far include 2 staff members and 3 homeless individuals.
Following consecutive positive cases among staff on the 17th and 18th, a homeless individual with an unknown infection route tested positive on the 23rd.
Subsequently, another homeless person who had contact with this confirmed case tested positive on the 25th, and on the same day, a participant in the Seoul Station Emergency Shelter job program also tested positive.
