Police and Fire Authorities Search National Assembly Following Text Message Threatening to Blow Up the Assembly
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] On the 25th, the police received a report claiming that explosives had been planted at the National Assembly building and are conducting searches inside and around the National Assembly.
According to the police, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station, Yeouido Precinct, and Yeongdeungpo Fire Station received an anonymous text message at 5:45 PM stating "I will blow up the Yeouido National Assembly building" and are currently investigating the National Assembly and its surroundings.
At the National Assembly, 21 fire trucks, 83 firefighting personnel, and precinct police officers have been deployed to search for explosives.
