Suncheon City Provides 200,000 Won Happiness Voucher to Women Farmers and Fishermen
Application Deadline Until the 26th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 25th that it will promote the Women Farmers and Fishermen Happiness Voucher Support Project to improve the quality of life in rural fishing villages and to boost the pride of women farmers and fishermen.
The Women Farmers and Fishermen Happiness Voucher is a system that provides a happiness voucher card worth 200,000 KRW per person (with a 20,000 KRW self-payment) to women farmers and fishermen in rural fishing villages where cultural conditions are relatively poor, enabling them to enjoy various cultural activities.
Suncheon City plans to support about 6,300 women farmers and fishermen in the area with a budget of 1.116 billion KRW this year. The support targets women farmers and fishermen aged between 20 and 75 years old (born between January 1, 1946, and December 31, 2001) who have had a residence in Jeonnam Province for more than one year as of January 1 of this year and are actively engaged in farming or fishing.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the administrative welfare center in the applicant’s town or township by the 26th of next month.
After a verification period for each applicant, the cards will be distributed starting in April to eligible women farmers and fishermen.
