Damyang County Council Opens the 300th Extraordinary Session
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] The Damyang County Council in Jeollanam-do (Chairman Kim Jeongo) announced on the 25th that it will operate the "300th Extraordinary Session" for 10 days from the 25th to the 3rd of next month.
During this extraordinary session, the council will deliberate and resolve eight ordinances, including a partial amendment to the county research service management ordinance, covering this year's major business promotion plans, the results of administrative audits pointed out last year, subsidy support projects, and the results of measures taken through on-site inspections of major construction sites.
Chairman Kim Jeongo said, "Despite the difficulties and hardships caused by COVID-19 and abnormal weather last year, it was a year in which the county raised its stature as a resilient county by achieving various accomplishments in all areas of county administration, such as excellence in regulatory innovation evaluation and receiving the Prime Minister's commendation for disaster and infectious disease management."

He continued, "Although the Damyang County Council conducted focused budget reviews, council member-initiated ordinances, on-site inspections of project sites, in-depth administrative audits, and county administration questions, there were some shortcomings. Based on the citizens' criticisms, this year we will further strengthen the functions of checks and monitoring to ensure that the executive branch's policies are properly implemented," he added.
