[Breaking] IEM International School Symptomatic Students Unable to Receive Testing and Treatment for Over Ten Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] The first symptomatic case at Daejeon IEM International School, where a COVID-19 infection occurred, was on the 12th, but it has been found that no testing or treatment was provided for over ten days thereafter.
According to Daejeon City on the 25th, one student from Gyeongnam first showed symptoms of cough, phlegm, and headache on the 12th.
Until the past weekend, a total of six students exhibited suspected COVID-19 symptoms.
However, the school only isolated the symptomatic students in the dormitory without having them undergo COVID-19 testing or hospital treatment, and the only action taken was contacting the parents of the symptomatic students to take them home for testing.
Currently, 116 out of 120 students have tested positive.
