View original image[Asia Economy Reporters Hyunju Lee and Juni Park] Former lawmaker Na Kyung-won, who is running for the Seoul mayoral by-election, visited the headquarters of SK Bioscience located in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province on the morning of the 25th.
The visit was to check the status of the development of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine and to encourage the employees. SK Bioscience CEO Ahn Jae-yong, former lawmakers Kim Seung-hee and Kim Yong-nam also attended.
Former lawmaker Na said, "I think the government's strategic judgment in the vaccine procurement process was wrong," adding, "It seems that the actual vaccine procurement was delayed." He continued, "Even now, a certain amount of vaccines have been secured, and I believe the private sector played a big role in that process," emphasizing, "From now on, I will work hard together with the belief that there is no ruling or opposition party when it comes to vaccine issues."

Regarding the order of vaccination, he listed medical personnel, disabled people, and the elderly in that order. Former lawmaker Na said, "The next groups who should be vaccinated simultaneously are children, teachers, and those directly related to children," adding, "Social welfare care service workers must be safe from COVID-19 to provide services." Finally, he said, "I suggest vaccinating high school seniors first."
