Mesh Korea "Secures Numerous Fresh Food Clients"
Fresh Food Dawn Delivery: From Local Direct Delivery of Agricultural and Marine Products to Baby Food and Seafood Meal Kits
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Mesh Korea (CEO Yoo Jung-beom), which operates the logistics brand 'Boorung,' announced on the 25th that it is accelerating business expansion by securing numerous fresh food clients who require direct delivery from production sites.
According to Mesh Korea, as of January, the number of client companies is around 290. In particular, they have secured many companies that require direct delivery from production sites, such as fresh food, where fast and accurate delivery is crucial. Since last year, Mesh Korea has introduced a hybrid delivery service combining trucks and existing two-wheeled vehicle services. They are focusing on applying digital logistics to all services to improve the existing inefficient logistics system.
In December last year, they established new logistics centers totaling over 2,500 pyeong in Gimpo and Namyangju, and through about 260 Boorung trucks and a full cold chain system, they deliver not only daily necessities but also products from food and beverage companies where temperature control is vital. A Mesh Korea official explained, "Establishing the logistics center in December last year and building infrastructure capable of handling fresh food delivery greatly helped in securing clients."
Accordingly, they are showing competitiveness in the food and beverage sector, especially in the fresh food area requiring same-day early morning delivery. Already, companies such as Ganong Bio and Daeju Fisheries have been using Mesh Korea's logistics services for delivery since last year. Mesh Korea also handles early morning delivery of processed seafood for the seafood online commerce company Yam Table. Strawberries from the ICT smart farm company Pocheon Strawberry Healing Farm are also delivered early morning by Mesh Korea.
Mesh Korea plans to significantly increase the number of clients within the year by expanding Boorung logistics services. Han Kwang-hee, Chief Business Officer (CBO) of the Growth Business Division in charge of sales, said, "We have strived to provide a system that allows companies needing Mesh Korea's unique logistics know-how to focus solely on their core business without worrying about logistics," adding, "We will continue to work hard to provide all logistics solutions tailored to the times and conditions our clients desire."
