Gangbuk-gu, 2021 Village Community Support Project Contest... Up to 7 Million KRW Support

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Gyeom-su) is calling for organizations to carry out the 2021 Village Community Project.
The purpose is to revitalize village communities so that residents can independently consider and solve village issues.
The supported projects include ▲Neighbor Making Project (up to 1 million KRW) ▲Community Meeting Activation (up to 2 million KRW) ▲Alley Making (up to 7 million KRW) ▲Community Space Activation (up to 7 million KRW) ▲Specialized Local Community Issues (up to 7 million KRW), totaling five categories.
Any resident group of three or more people living, working, or studying in Gangbuk-gu can apply.
Applications start from January 28, and from February 16 to February 19, applications can be submitted through the Seoul Village Community Comprehensive Support Center website by category.
The district will review the feasibility and practicality of the projects and announce the final selected projects on the district office website by the end of March. The district will sign agreements with the selected organizations and provide various support activities such as counseling, accounting and settlement education, and consulting to ensure smooth project implementation.
Before the call for applications, the district will hold an online briefing session on February 1 to encourage more resident participation.
The briefing will be broadcast live from 2 PM to 3 PM on the YouTube channel ‘Gangbuk-gu Village Autonomy Center.’ The session will include explanations of the support projects by category, guidelines for execution, and instructions on how to write project plans.
Mayor Park Gyeom-su of Gangbuk-gu said, “This project will help village communities centered on residents to grow further,” and added, “We hope many residents participate in this project to promote the prosperous development of the village.”
