127 COVID-19 Cases Clustered at Unauthorized Religious Education Facility in Daejeon (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] On the 24th, more than 100 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were reported at an unlicensed religious education facility in Daejeon.
According to Daejeon City on the 24th, after student number 234 from Suncheon, Jeonnam, and number 389 from Pohang, Gyeongbuk, who attend TCS International School in Jung-gu, tested positive, an additional 125 students and staff in Daejeon were confirmed positive.
TCS International School is an unlicensed educational facility operated by the IM Mission.
Health authorities collected specimens from 146 students and staff who lived in the dormitory with the confirmed cases from Suncheon, Jeonnam, and Pohang, of which 125 tested positive. Three remain undecided.
