250 New COVID-19 Cases Nationwide by 6 PM... 59 Fewer Than Yesterday

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Although the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea is showing a declining trend, new cases continued to be reported across the country on the 24th.
According to the quarantine authorities, Seoul city, and other local governments, from midnight to 6 p.m. on the day, 250 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were identified nationwide. This is 59 fewer than the 309 cases recorded during the same time period the previous day.
By region, 161 cases (64.4%) were reported in the metropolitan area, and 89 cases (35.6%) in non-metropolitan areas.
By city and province, the numbers are as follows: Seoul 88, Gyeonggi 61, Busan 19, Gyeongbuk 15, Incheon 12, Daegu 11, Chungnam 9, Gyeongnam 8, Gwangju, Daejeon, and Chungbuk 6 each, Gangwon 4, Ulsan and Jeju 2 each, and Jeonnam 1.
Among the 17 cities and provinces, no confirmed cases have yet been reported in Sejong and Jeonbuk.
