On the 23rd, Kwon Jun-wook, Deputy Head of the Central Disease Control Headquarters, stated at a regular briefing, "A study on COVID-19 sequelae was conducted on 40 patients of different age groups at the National Medical Center, and pulmonary fibrosis was found in 7 of them," adding, "Pulmonary fibrosis appeared only in those aged 40 and above."

The quarantine authorities are conducting examinations and surveys every three months on adult patients who have recovered from COVID-19 to study the sequelae. In the interim results announced on the 14th, some recovered patients were found to experience sequelae such as decreased lung function. However, most of them showed signs of recovery over time.
