GS Construction Reports Operating Profit of 751.2 Billion KRW Last Year, Down 2.1% YoY
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] GS Construction announced on the 22nd that its operating profit for last year, on a consolidated basis, was tentatively estimated at 751.2 billion KRW, a 2.1% decrease compared to the previous year. Sales amounted to 10.1229 trillion KRW, down 2.8% during the same period.
The operating profit margin, which is the ratio of operating profit to sales, was 7.42%. GS Construction stated, "Despite the worsening business environment due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), we maintained sales and operating profit at the previous year's level," and added, "In particular, the operating profit margin is at the highest level in the industry, reflecting profitability-focused management performance."
