Inspection of Fire Safety Facilities in Traditional Markets and Listening to Difficulties of Traditional Market Merchants
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yuseong-hoon, the mayor of Geumcheon-gu, visited traditional markets vulnerable to winter fires on the 21st to inspect fire prevention facilities and listen to the difficulties faced by merchants struggling due to COVID-19.
On that day, Mayor Yuseong-hoon visited Hyundai Market and Daemyeong Market located in Siheung 1-dong to check the fire alarm facilities recently installed by the district office.
The district recently established an early fire suppression system by installing fire detectors in about 150 stores in Hyundai Market and Daemyeong Market, as well as flame detectors in common areas to prevent fire damage in traditional markets.
Following this, Mayor Yuseong-hoon met with merchants who are experiencing unprecedented difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic to hear their concerns and opinions on ways to revitalize the local commercial district.
