According to officials from Jangseong County on the 21st, winter minari is cultivated using the 'field minari' method, where water is filled to submerge the stems at night and then drained in the morning, repeating this process.
Minari boasts a crisp texture with a firm interior and a rich, distinctive aroma that pairs well with any dish.
Additionally, it is grown using eco-friendly farming methods, allowing it to be eaten raw without blanching, preserving its nutrients, which makes it popular.
Minari is well known for its benefits in strengthening the body, acting as a diuretic, and reducing fever, as well as aiding in boosting immunity.
County Governor Yoo Doo-seok said, "During winter, when outdoor activities are limited, consuming plenty of minari is beneficial for health," and added, "We hope many people will seek out the healthy and fresh Jangseong winter minari."
