Korea Center Provides 10 Million KRW Support to Low-Income Children in Nam-gu, Busan
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Korea Center, a contactless e-commerce specialist company, announced on the 21st that it held a donation ceremony for 'supporting children from low-income households' at Busan Nam-gu Office on the 20th.
Attending the ceremony were Park Jae-beom, Mayor of Busan Nam-gu, and Kim Tae-sang, Director of Korea Center, among others. The recipients were selected by distributing the number of children across 17 neighborhoods in Busan Nam-gu, selecting 100 households in total.
The payment method involved supporting a total of 10 million KRW by providing 100,000 KRW per household in Oryukdo Pay, the local currency of Busan Nam-gu, which can be used through Busan Nam-gu's public delivery app 'Eodigo'.
Kim Gi-rok, CEO of Korea Center, said, "With the Lunar New Year approaching, we made this donation so that children can have a warmer holiday season," adding, "Amid the difficulties faced by the local economy due to the COVID-19 aftermath, we will strive to make the public delivery app 'Eodigo' a source of support for Busan Nam-gu residents and affiliated stores."
The public delivery app 'Eodigo' was launched on October 30 last year as the first in the Yeongnam region through collaboration between Korea Center and Busan Nam-gu. It opened an office in 21 Century City, Daeyeon-dong, Busan Nam-gu, providing various services to ensure customer satisfaction, including membership inquiries.
A feature of the public delivery app 'Eodigo' is that, with customers' consent to provide information, customer data is shared with affiliated stores. Using the secured customer information, store owners can continuously secure loyal customers through marketing such as coupons and push notification messages at any time.
