Sangju City Selects 800 Vulnerable Households... 'Customized Welfare Teams' Established in All Eup, Myeon, and Dong
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Sangju City is expanding its customized welfare team and is making every effort to identify welfare blind spots during the winter season.
According to Sangju City on the 21st, to prevent social isolation and solitary deaths among vulnerable groups amid COVID-19, the city has been operating a "Winter Welfare Blind Spot Intensive Discovery" period from November 13 last year until the end of February.
During this period, approximately 800 vulnerable households will be visited to identify the services they need and then provide customized welfare services.
To expand welfare services, the city increased the number of customized welfare teams from 10 last year to cover all 24 eup, myeon, and dong administrative districts this year. Additionally, a basic survey was conducted on about 4,000 basic livelihood security recipients, 21,133 single-person households, and 592 households facing financial difficulties, selecting around 800 households in need of support.
