Songpa-gu, One-on-One Customized Non-Face-to-Face Free Tax Consultation
Actively Responding to COVID-19 and Addressing Taxpayers' Inquiries
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) is fully implementing '1:1 Customized Non-face-to-face Free Tax Consultation' to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and resolve taxpayers' concerns.
The free tax consultation, which has been in operation since 2009, was visited by 3,727 people until last year. Consultations regarding capital gains tax accounted for 49%, followed by inheritance and gift tax (28%) and comprehensive real estate holding tax (12%). For over 10 years, it has been a trusted tax problem solver easily accessible to Songpa-gu residents.
However, since last year, face-to-face consultations have become difficult, prompting the district to seek alternatives to enhance taxpayer convenience. The system has been completely revamped from requiring clients to visit the district office on a fixed date to a method where consultations are conducted by phone on a convenient date with a tax accountant through prior reservation.
Based on flexible tax consultations in the future, it is expected that office workers, small business owners, and micro-entrepreneurs alike will be able to easily and conveniently resolve complicated tax concerns in their daily lives.
The consultations are operated through the talent donation of 11 professional tax accountants with many years of practical experience. After making a prior reservation by phone, a professional tax accountant will provide consultation services directly by phone at a time convenient for the client.
Wide-ranging consultations are available on various tax items closely related to daily life, including local taxes such as real estate acquisition tax and property tax, and national taxes such as capital gains tax, gift tax, inheritance tax, and comprehensive real estate holding tax.
For detailed information and reservation inquiries, please contact the Tax Division 2 of Songpa-gu Office.
