Daegu City Recruits 146 for 'Digital Youth Talent Gateway'... Public Sector Job Experience
Public Institutions and Nonprofit Private Organizations: 1.87 Million KRW Monthly Salary for 10 Months of Work

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City announced on the 20th that it is recruiting participants for the 'Digital Youth Talent Gateway Project' to enhance the employment competitiveness of young people struggling with job searching.
The 'Digital Youth Talent Gateway Project' is an 'employment competency enhancement' project that helps young people gain quality job experience in the public sector and successfully enter the private job market. A total of 3.1 billion KRW, including 1.5 billion KRW in national funding, will be invested in the project.
The project, jointly promoted by the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (public sector) and the Daegu Citizens Center (non-profit private sector), is recruiting a total of 146 participants: 126 for the public sector and 20 for the non-profit private sector.
Eligible institutions include 18 local public (investment and foundation) organizations such as Daegu Urban Corporation and Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation, as well as 20 non-profit private organizations (NGOs).
Public institutions relocated to the innovation city, including Korea Gas Corporation, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, and Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement, are participating in this project to support local youth in gaining job-related experience.
The selected young people will work 40 hours per week from March to December and receive a monthly wage of approximately 1.87 million KRW. Eligible participants are unemployed Daegu residents aged 18 to 34. University students can participate only if they are expected to graduate or have deferred graduation.
Young people participating in this project are expected to gain practical experience mainly in the digital field to prepare for the changing employment environment after the spread of COVID-19, and to enhance their employment competitiveness through employment support programs such as job training, special lectures on employment, and support for obtaining certifications.
Those wishing to participate can submit applications and related documents online through ▲the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry website from the 22nd to February 3rd for the public sector ▲and through the Daegu Citizens Center from February 8th to 17th for the non-profit private sector.
