Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Achieve Annual Market Share of 7% in Europe for the First Time Last Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hyundai Motor and Kia achieved an annual market share of 7% in the European automobile market for the first time last year.
According to Hyundai Motor and Kia on the 19th, the total number of cars sold by the two companies in Europe last year was 841,520 units, a 21% decrease compared to the previous year.
Hyundai Motor sold 424,805 units, down 24.5% from the previous year, while Kia sold 416,715 units, a 17.1% decrease.
However, the sales market share rose to 7.0%, up 0.3 percentage points from the previous record high of 6.7% in 2019.

Hyundai Motor's best-selling models were the Kona (123,187 units), Tucson (87,259 units), and i20 (62,393 units), while Kia's top sellers were the Ceed (114,759 units), Niro (77,498 units), and Sportage (70,344 units).
