Gwangyang-si Jungmadong, Promoting Distribution of Companion Plants to Families in Crisis with Congratulatory Flowerpots
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang City announced on the 19th that Park Sang-hoon, the head of Jungmadong who was promoted and appointed in the regular personnel reshuffle in January this year, donated congratulatory flowerpots to neighbors in need to promote a culture of donation and practice sharing.
Park Sang-hoon, head of Jungmadong, donated congratulatory flowerpots together with the Jungmadong Community Security Council as part of the companion plant distribution service to relieve the fatigue of residents whose bodies and minds have been exhausted due to prolonged indoor life caused by COVID-19.
The donated flowerpots (65 in total) were delivered contactlessly to elderly people living alone, residents struggling with depression, disabled households, and social welfare facilities. Phone calls were made to check on the recipients' well-being and spend time talking with the elderly living alone.
