Gwangju Office of Education Operates Winter Vacation School for Students with Disabilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 18th that it will operate a winter vacation school for about 300 disabled students who have difficulty living at home due to COVID-19.
The winter vacation school will be operated for 3 to 4 weeks at each institution from today until next month 16th, through consignment operation by Gwangju Segwang School selected through a public contest and four local community organizations (KTIL Lifelong Education Center for People with Developmental Disabilities, Gwangju Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled, Gwangju Seo-gu Welfare Center for the Disabled, Happiness Development Coaching Center).
The winter vacation school will be conducted with strict adherence to preventive measures to prevent COVID-19 infection, and various customized programs will be provided at special schools and educational facilities of welfare centers for the disabled.
