Market Kurly Launches 'Trustworthy Kurly Seafood' Event... Up to 45% Discount

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Market Kurly announced on the 18th that it will hold its first special event, "Trustworthy Kurly Seafood," offering discounts of up to 45% on over 130 seafood products and providing a 20% discount coupon until the 7th of next month.
This special event is part of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries' "2021 Korea Seafood Festival," aimed at revitalizing seafood sales. The Korea Seafood Festival by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries is an event that offers discount benefits when purchasing seasonal seafood to support fishermen and the public who have been struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Last year, a total of seven special events were held. Following last year, Market Kurly, selected again this year, plans to offer various seasonal seafood at affordable prices through a total of eight special events until December.
Market Kurly is offering discounts of up to 45% on over 130 seafood products. Along with product discounts, a 20% discount coupon (up to 10,000 KRW off) can be used when purchasing related special event products, allowing customers to buy seafood at even lower prices. The coupon can be issued only once per ID and is valid until the end of the special event on the 7th of next month.
This special event has prepared a variety of seafood that can be enjoyed as home-cooked meals. Squid is discounted up to 25%, and seasonal Gwamegi is sold at up to 10% off. Abalone is discounted up to 30%, and anchovies up to 20% off.
The 20% discount coupon can also be applied when purchasing gift sets. Market Kurly recommended the high-quality gift set "Beopseongpo Cham-mat Premium Gulbi Oga Set 1.6kg (25% off)," the "Jeju Fresh Silver Hairtail Gift Set 2.4kg," which contains two cleaned Jeju silver hairtails weighing over 1kg (40% off), and the "Wild Abalone Gift Set (45% off)," harvested directly by haenyeo divers from the deep sea of Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do.

Meanwhile, seafood sales on Market Kurly increased by 126% last year compared to 2019. The best-selling seafood products were shrimp, salmon, and mackerel in that order. Among the products purchased with discounts during last year's Korea Seafood Festival, the highest sales were recorded for gulbi, followed by abalone and domestic shrimp.
