Geoje City Holds 2022 New National Fund Project Discovery Report Meeting

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Geoje City, Gyeongnam Province, held a 2022 new national budget project discovery briefing session on the 15th.
This briefing session was held to review the government's national policy direction such as expanding living SOC and the regional economic contraction caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), and to respond proactively and strategically to secure national budget resources.
At the briefing session, a total of 34 projects worth 65.8 billion KRW for the 2022 national budget were discovered, including 11 projects in the agriculture, forestry, marine, and fisheries sector, 8 projects in the culture and tourism sector, and 4 projects in the public order and safety sector.
The main projects include the Living SOC Complex Project, Job Creation Support Project, Fishing Village New Deal Project, and Disaster and Accident Prevention Project.
Mayor Byeon Gwang-yong emphasized organic cooperation among all department heads and staff, stating, "In the era of a 10 trillion KRW budget, continuous monitoring of government policies is important to discover new national budget projects that fit local realities and to actively apply for various public contests to ensure smooth progress of local pending projects."
