Comprehensive Inspection of 50 Sites: Review of Private Gatherings and Proactive Testing Among Workers... Monthly Ongoing Checks Planned to "Fully Protect Elderly and Other Vulnerable Groups"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) is conducting special quarantine inspections targeting elderly welfare facilities in the area to proactively respond to infectious diseases following the extension of social distancing level 2.5.
This special quarantine inspection will continue for two weeks from the 11th to the 29th and will cover all 50 elderly welfare facilities, including nursing homes and day and night care centers.
In addition to checking compliance with quarantine rules, which has been continuously monitored since the outbreak of COVID-19, the district has newly added items such as ▲management of workers' movement and prior approval procedures during days off ▲prohibition of private gatherings among workers ▲measures to minimize contact within facilities ▲compliance with the mandatory weekly COVID-19 proactive testing for workers.
Facilities found to be violating quarantine rules will be subject to penalties such as fines, and unannounced additional inspections will be conducted within one week after the inspection ends to strengthen follow-up management.
Along with the quarantine inspections, the district plans to make weekly proactive testing mandatory for all workers at elderly welfare facilities and manage the test results, putting full effort into preventing infectious diseases in elderly welfare facilities.
