[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] The parents of Murakata Nonoka, the recipient of the Silver Award at the Japanese Children's Song Contest who became a huge sensation in South Korea due to her deadly cuteness, have announced legal action in response to malicious comments and false rumors targeting their family.
On the afternoon of the 17th, a lengthy post was made on Nonoka's official Korean account, starting with "Hello fans, this time I want to talk about something a bit serious."
The author stated, "Recently, there have been very unpleasant false rumors about Nonoka, and just watching them go on feels excessive. After much consideration and discussion, we have decided to take legal action," adding, "From now on, if such false rumors or excessive malicious comments are posted, we will respond legally."
According to the post, Nonoka's side has been troubled by rumors such as "Korean fans like her so much that they opened up the academy's address to beg for gifts," referring to the posting of the academy's address for interview and contact purposes.
The author expressed discomfort, saying they even received serious messages via private messages, and requested, "Since the child sings because she likes it, we hope people will view her kindly."
In response, many netizens commented, "What kind of behavior is that towards a baby?", "No matter how much you dislike Japan, this crosses the line," and "I hope they all get sued."
Meanwhile, Nonoka, who gained fame as her children's song contest video became popular online, was born in May 2018 and is a baby girl about to turn three years old.
