Reelection of Jo Nam-gyu as the 23rd Chairman of the Korean Dance Association
[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] Professor Namgyu Cho of the Graduate School of Cultural Technology, Department of Performing Arts Management at Sangmyung University will lead the Korean Dance Association for another four years.
The Korean Dance Association announced on the 16th that Professor Namgyu Cho was successfully re-elected as the 23rd chairman.
On the same day, the Korean Dance Association held its regular general meeting at the Rowoon Art Hall in the Korea Artists Center, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. Chairman Cho was elected with 846 votes out of 1,075 members, defeating Professor Youngcheol Moon of Hanyang University’s Department of Dance, who received 229 votes.

Chairman Cho led the Korean Dance Association for four years starting in 2017 as the 22nd chairman. His term after re-election will last until January 2025.
