View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Among local governments in Gyeongnam Province, Gimhae-si has been found to have the highest number of excellent small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Federation of SMEs have collaborated to gather information on over 120,000 companies recognized for their expertise, excellence, and growth potential in areas such as employment, technology development, and overseas expansion.
Among these, a platform called the ‘Pretty Good SME Platform’ has been established, providing a comprehensive view of 29,637 excellent companies that meet six qualification criteria including credit rating and turnover rate.
Companies located in Gimhae-si total 502, accounting for 33% of the 1,525 companies in Gyeongnam Province, ranking first in the province.
Currently, 116 companies including Hurom, Samhwa PMI, and Hallim Technology are waiting for young job seekers.
The city plans to actively encourage schools and employment support agencies within the jurisdiction to use the platform and will promote excellent companies and quality jobs by linking through banners on the city’s homepage.
