The government established quarantine measures within correctional facilities on the 13th, and to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within these facilities, it is known that KF94 masks were distributed to both staff and inmates, with mandatory wearing enforced. In this context, Kukbo's donation of 100,000 masks is expected to alleviate the shortage of masks among inmates and greatly help prevent COVID-19 infections in correctional facilities.
A company official stated, "The KF94 Easy Guard masks produced by Kukbo in collaboration with Easy & Korea have obtained the highest ASTM LEVEL 3 certification among the performance tests required by the US FDA. Only two companies in Korea have achieved ASTM LEVEL 3 certification," adding, "As a result, the masks are recognized domestically and internationally for their quality and performance, boasting the highest quality that medical staff and patients can safely use not only as general medical masks but also as surgical (OR) masks."
Ha Hyun, CEO of Kukbo, said, "We expect Kukbo's KF94 masks to play a significant role in the most vulnerable environments," and added, "Kukbo will take the lead and do its best for COVID-19 prevention and K-quarantine."
