China Reports First Death After Victory Over COVID-19
Hebei Province Reports 81 New COVID-19 Cases and 1 Death as of the 13th
[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Jo Young-shin] A death has occurred in China, where the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) is spreading again.
This is the first death reported since Chinese President Xi Jinping publicly announced in September last year that significant and strategic achievements had been made in the war against infectious diseases.
According to the National Health Commission of China (NHC) on the 14th, a total of 138 new confirmed cases were reported across 31 provinces on the 13th.
In Hebei Province, where the COVID-19 spread is most severe, a total of 81 new confirmed cases were identified, and one death was reported.
In Heilongjiang Province, 43 cases were confirmed. Imported cases totaled 14 (Shanghai 8, Guangdong 8).
