The Daegu Police Agency announced on the 12th that they have booked physical education instructor A without detention on charges of molesting a child at a kindergarten (under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes).
According to the police, instructor A is accused of touching a child's body during a physical education class at a kindergarten in Dalseo-gu in early December last year.
The child involved gave statements during two police interrogations indicating that sexual assault had occurred, and during the investigation, another child recently claimed to have suffered similar abuse.

A police official stated, "So far, we have investigated one victimized child and plan to identify one more. However, the quality of the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage is not clear, making it difficult to find evidence of the charges."
