Over 1 Million Applications on the Second Day of Small Business Support Fund
Total Number of Applicants Reaches 2.76 Million
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] On the second day of accepting applications for the third disaster relief fund, the Small Business Support Fund, on the 12th, the number of applicants surged past 1 million. Including the 1.01 million applicants from the first day, the total number of applicants reached 2.02 million.
According to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, by 6 p.m. that day, the number of Small Business Support Fund applicants reached 1.01 million. This accounts for 76% of the 1.33 million eligible applicants whose business registration numbers end with an even digit.
Over the two days, applicants accounted for 73% of the total eligible applicants (2.76 million).
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that by 6 p.m. that day, 1.75 million small business owners had received the support fund, amounting to 2.495 trillion KRW. This includes the 1.4317 trillion KRW paid to the 1.01 million applicants from the previous day.
On the 13th, applicants can apply online regardless of whether their business registration number ends with an odd or even digit.

Applications submitted in the morning by the 13th will be paid in the afternoon. From the 14th, applications received between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. will be processed and paid starting at 3 a.m. the following day.
