Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Provides Additional Childbirth Congratulatory Allowance for Staff
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education plans to provide additional childbirth congratulatory money to encourage childbirth among its staff and alleviate the burden of childcare.
According to the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education on the 11th, they have been providing 1 million KRW for the first child, 2 million KRW for the second child, and 3 million KRW for the third child and beyond. However, starting next year, if the child resides in Jeonnam for more than one year after birth, an additional 1 million KRW for the first child, 1.5 million KRW for the second child, and 2 million KRW for the third child and beyond will be paid.
Additionally, the scope of coverage for life and accident insurance, which was previously available only to the staff member themselves, will be expanded to include their spouse.
Meanwhile, following a 100,000 KRW increase in the basic score for customized welfare last year, the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education has improved treatment by additionally supporting up to 200,000 KRW for health checkups for staff aged 50 and over who are eligible for health screening in the current year.
