"Inauguration of Lee Won-tae as President of Korea Internet & Security Agency Leading the Digital Future Society"
[Asia Economy Reporter Seolgina Cho] The Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) announced on the 11th that it held the inauguration ceremony of the 6th President Lee Won-tae at its Naju headquarters.
In his inaugural speech, the new president emphasized "KISA's role in completing the 4th Industrial Revolution and leading the digital future society," and stated that "efforts must be made to gain the trust and support of the public."
He also presented management plans including ▲establishing a digital safety net and safe use and protection of personal information in response to changes in the security paradigm ▲enhancing national digital competitiveness ▲realizing social value and innovative management as a public institution ▲and establishing a transparent management culture.
He declared, “I will do my best to make KISA a world-class specialized institution in the fields of information security and digital technology.”

President Lee previously served as vice president of the Korea Internet Ethics Association and the Korea Artificial Intelligence Law Association, advisory member of the Personal Information Protection Commission, policy planning member of the Presidential Policy Planning Committee, and research fellow at the Korea Information Society Development Institute.
