Yongma Logistics Completes Simulation for Pfizer Vaccine Transport... Establishes Temperature-Controlled Delivery System
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jung] Yongma Logistics (CEO Geum Jung-sik), a logistics specialist affiliate of Dong-A Socio Holdings, announced on the 11th that it has completed its own simulation to maintain the stringent cold chain conditions required for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which must be kept between -20 to -70 degrees Celsius. They have established a temperature-controlled delivery system that can distribute pharmaceuticals and vaccines in optimal quality conditions.
Temperature-controlled delivery of pharmaceuticals and vaccines refers to maintaining a constant temperature during transportation according to the standards set by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's "Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Quality Control Regulations," including product specifications and storage conditions: room temperature (1~30°C), ambient temperature (15~25°C), refrigerated (2~8°C), and cold storage (1~15°C).
According to Dong-A Socio Holdings, Yongma Logistics has equipped temperature-controlled delivery infrastructure and systems throughout the entire logistics process?from receipt, storage, sorting, trunk transportation, to delivery?that maintain the optimal quality of pharmaceuticals and vaccines.
Vehicles responsible for the entire logistics process?from transporting products from pharmaceutical and distribution companies to the Anseong Hub Center, storing and sorting, passing through nationwide logistics centers, to delivering to customers such as hospitals and pharmacies?are equipped with temperature-controlled facilities. The Anseong Hub Center has established an industry-first sealed facility that blocks outside air and allows product storage and sorting under temperature-controlled conditions.
Additionally, all processes and equipment involved in temperature-controlled delivery operate under standardized quality control procedures. The quality assurance team manages and monitors the temperature of pharmaceuticals and vaccines in real time during storage and transportation through an automated temperature control system, recording the data.
Notably, Yongma Logistics’ temperature-controlled delivery can maintain conditions between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius using only special vehicles equipped with temperature control facilities. When using special containers, they have established a cold chain capable of maintaining conditions between -20 to -70 degrees Celsius, enabling the delivery of pharmaceuticals and vaccines under these stringent conditions.
Currently, Yongma Logistics provides comprehensive logistics services across all areas?including transportation, parcel delivery, storage, international logistics, and logistics diagnostics?based on a nationwide network of 33 logistics centers and 34 delivery centers.
