On the 10th, the Incheon District Court announced that it sentenced Mr. A (88), who was indicted on charges of special assault, to six months in prison with a two-year probation period and ordered one year of probation.
Mr. A was charged with threatening his wife, Mrs. B (59), with a weapon at their home in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, around 2:30 p.m. on June 6 last year, suspecting her of having an affair. He then struck her left wrist and left thigh once each, causing injury.

The court stated, "Considering that both the defendant and the victim intend to maintain their marriage and that the victim does not wish for severe punishment against the defendant, the sentence was determined accordingly."
