Boseong-gun Reports 2 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Confirmed Cases Rise to 6
Kim Cheol-woo, Boseong County Governor, Directly Commands COVID-19 Field Operations
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Cheon-seok] On the 8th, two additional confirmed cases (#Jeonnam602, #Jeonnam603) occurred after contact with Gwangju #1309 confirmed patient who visited Boseong-gun for kimchi-making, increasing the total confirmed cases to six.
On the 9th, Kim Cheol-woo, the governor of Boseong-gun, chaired an emergency situation countermeasure meeting regarding COVID-19 confirmed cases in Boseong-gun and checked the response plans by department.
Governor Kim Cheol-woo ordered comprehensive testing for suspected contacts to prevent further transmission. Accordingly, two additional temporary screening clinics were established in Hoecheon-myeon to conduct COVID-19 tests for those wishing to be tested.
After the meeting, Governor Kim visited the Boseong-gun Public Health Center to encourage the staff and received a report from Kim Mi-ja, the head of the health center, on the status of additional contact testing and response measures.
