[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, announced a ban on importing COVID-19 vaccines from American and British companies. He stated that vaccines developed in countries experiencing turmoil, where 4,000 people die daily from COVID-19, cannot be trusted.
On the 8th (local time), Khamenei said on Iranian state TV, "We ban the import of vaccines from the UK and the US," emphasizing, "This is a public statement to the officials." He pointed out, "If the US could produce vaccines, there would be no chaos where 4,000 citizens die daily within 24 hours."
