Seoul City Reports 137 New COVID-19 Cases by 6 PM

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Seoul City announced that from 0:00 to 18:00 on the 8th, there were 137 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Seoul over 18 hours.
This number is lower than 145 cases during the same time period the previous day and 196 cases on the 1st of this month, a week ago.
Among the new confirmed cases that day, 134 were domestic infections and 3 were imported cases.
In cluster infections, one new case was added each in the following: Songpa-gu residential facility for the disabled, Guro-gu nursing hospital and nursing home, Yangcheon-gu nursing facility II, Jungnang-gu religious facility, and Gangdong-gu acquaintance gathering. Five cases occurred in other cluster infections.
Additionally, there were 90 cases from 'contact with other confirmed cases,' 7 cases from 'contact with confirmed cases from other cities/provinces,' and 35 cases under investigation due to unclear infection routes.
