Jeonnam Province Agencies and Local Saeteomin Receive Over 2,000 Masks
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seung-hyun Jeong] The Jeonnam Regional Council of the National Unification Advisory Council (a constitutional advisory body, Vice Chairman Han Sang-won) held a mask donation ceremony at 11 a.m. on the 7th at the Jeonnam Hana Center to commemorate the '2032 Seoul-Pyongyang Joint Olympic Bid Prayer.'
The masks bear the slogan 'Seoul-Pyongyang Olympic Bid Prayer,' and by being worn by North Korean defectors and local government officials, they are expected to contribute to promoting the Olympic bid and preventing COVID-19.
Kim Nam-joong, secretary of the Jeonnam Regional Council who attended the donation ceremony, said, "I hope that the masks will provide warm comfort to North Korean defectors and help spread a consensus on the joint Olympics."
Han Sang-won, Vice Chairman of the Jeonnam Regional Council of the National Unification Advisory Council, stated, "Last year, we delivered scholarships totaling 61 million won to students from North Korean defector families, and such scholarship support projects will continue in the future."
