Suncheon City Holds Online Launch Ceremony for Suncheon 4.0 Supporters
Support Activities for the Successful Hosting of '2021 NEXPO in Suncheon'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 7th that it held an online launching ceremony yesterday for the selection of 10 supporters for the 4th Industrial Expo ‘2021 NEXPO in Suncheon’ 4.0, where people can experience future life centered on advanced technologies such as 5G and AI one step ahead.
The supporters will be active from January to May this year, discovering content and providing ideas related to the 4th Industrial Expo, and promoting related information through various SNS media.
The launching ceremony for the supporters was conducted online in the order of introduction to the ‘2021 NEXPO in Suncheon’ expo, guidance on supporter activities, and Q&A, and an offline launching ceremony will be held later when the COVID-19 situation calms down.
To recruit supporters, Suncheon City sought applicants from January 16 to 24 who are highly interested in the 4th Industrial Revolution and related technologies (5G, AI, VR, AR, etc.) and are proficient in online communication.
Fifty people from various groups such as university students, self-employed individuals, reporters, and housewives showed great interest, and as a result of screening, 10 final supporters were confirmed.

A Suncheon City official said, “We look forward to the content created by supporters who are interested in future advanced industries and skilled in operating SNS.” He added, “We expect that the supporters’ active promotional activities will contribute to the successful hosting of the expo.”
