On the 6th, the two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Asia-Pacific Fast Track Center BRC Laboratory to cultivate specialized personnel for the bio-industry.
According to the agreement, Cytiva will provide bio-process education programs to students of the Department of Bio-Systems Convergence and cooperate with Inha University to develop customized technical education and joint training tailored to industry needs.
Accordingly, four bio-process education and practical training sessions will be conducted for all graduate students of the Graduate School of Bio-Systems Convergence from January to February.
The Graduate School of Bio-Systems Convergence at Inha University was newly established last year in the second semester with four major tracks: bio-systems, bio-materials, biopharmaceuticals, and bio-processes.
It belongs to the Industry-Academia Convergence Interactive Bio-Process Innovation Education and Research Group selected for the 4th phase BK21 project led by the Ministry of Education in August last year, and is cultivating customized talent by building a convergence platform linking industry, academia, research, and government in an open campus format.
Cytiva is a global company that supplies products and services for biopharmaceutical research, development, and production.
In 2016, it established the APAC Fast Track Center in Songdo International City, Incheon, responsible for biopharmaceutical production process optimization services and process-related education, and supplies key raw materials for commercial medicines to Celltrion.
