'Concise and Convenient' Korean Air Completely Revamps Website and Mobile App
Event Celebrating Mobile App Revamp Starting from the 14th
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Korean Air announced on the 7th that it has completely revamped its website and mobile application. The redesigned Korean Air website features an intuitive menu structure that considers the flow of customers' air travel, and a simple and sophisticated design that enhances convenience and readability by focusing on core functions.
First, the new website streamlines the reservation process from the user's perspective, enabling faster bookings compared to the previous website. Additionally, it includes a feature that allows users to view the lowest airfares for desired destinations by date at a glance, as well as a cart saving function that was not available on the previous site. A new feature also allows users to share planned itineraries via email or KakaoTalk and purchase the corresponding tickets immediately.
The company explained that mileage usage has also become more convenient. Previously, to upgrade using mileage, customers had to purchase a ticket first and then separately proceed with the upgrade. However, on the new website, users can secure an upgraded seat at the time of ticket purchase without any additional steps. Furthermore, a mixed payment option that replaces part of the ticket payment amount with mileage and a mileage mall where mileage can be used have been introduced.
Along with the website revamp, the mobile app has been redesigned as 'Korean Air My.' Korean Air explained that the app has been reorganized focusing on the functions most frequently used by customers, and the simple design allows users to quickly find the services they need.
Meanwhile, Korean Air will hold a commemorative promotion starting from the 14th in conjunction with the mobile app revamp. Korean Air members and new subscribers who enter the event through the new app will be eligible for a lottery to win various prizes, including domestic flight tickets and limited edition name tags.
