Imsil-gun Practices Life Sharing Through Blood Donation of Love
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] On the 6th, Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, announced that it held a 'Love Blood Donation Campaign Sharing Life' at the Imsil-gun Office Square.
The blood donation campaign was organized to help address the significant decrease in blood reserves due to the cancellation of group blood donations and the reduction of individual blood donations caused by the rapid increase in COVID-19 confirmed cases, as well as the difficulty in securing blood for transfusions due to an increase in severe transfusion patients caused by aging.
To comply with COVID-19 infection prevention guidelines, the campaign was conducted with thorough disinfection inside the blood collection room, temperature checks for participants, mandatory mask-wearing, and hand sanitization. Fifty participants, including the Jeonbuk Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross, Imsil residents, and public officials under Imsil-gun, took part, contributing to the spread of a blood donation culture that shares life.
